How the fit works

InduHire calculates how well a profile fits a job to order and explain, never to decide. Here is, with no small print, how it is calculated.

1. What it is and what it isn't

It is a criterion-by-criterion comparison between what a job asks for and what the profile a person shares states. The result is a breakdown (what is met, partly met, not stated and not met) and a figure that summarises it.

It is not a decision: nobody is rejected or selected by the fit. On every application a person at the company decides, seeing the full breakdown. They are fixed rules, the same for everyone and versioned; there is no machine learning and nothing outside the shared profile is used.

2. What is measured and how much it weighs

Each criterion has a weight. Those a job doesn't ask for don't count: their weight is spread among the rest, so nobody loses points for something that wasn't asked for.

3. Rules that protect you

  • Anything not stated in your profile shows as “not stated”, never as a no: it doesn't count against you as if you lacked it.
  • A trade related to the one requested counts partly; a different one is not a no.
  • Only a must-have requirement that your profile contradicts caps the figure (at most 49); not being stated doesn't cap it.
  • Only you see your minimum salary: it is part of your fit, never of the one the company sees.

4. Who sees what

You see your fit with each job before applying, with the profile you choose. The company sees the fit of whoever applies or is visible to it, with the breakdown and without your salary.

If something in your profile isn't reflected correctly, change it in your profile: the fit is recalculated with what it states today. The company also keeps a snapshot of the fit at the moment you applied.

5. Your rights

You can ask us to explain a result and for a person to review your case (GDPR, Art. 22). Write to us via the privacy page. The classification of this system under the EU AI Act is pending legal review before the open launch.
